Job Summary
Crown King School District seeks a part-time Summer School Teacher who provides support to the instructional process as a teacher with specific responsibility for supervising students within the classroom. This includes developing lesson plans and delivering small group and/or individual student instruction within established curriculum guidelines and collaborating with the head teacher in addressing instructional and/or classroom issues.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Administer the summer curriculum guides of the District as based on state adopted standards
• Develops lesson plans and instructional materials based on district curriculum guides, standards, and expectations
• Establishes and communicates well-defined objectives for each lesson, including relevant projects and activities
• Translates lesson plans into learning experiences that reflect research-based instructional strategies, including a variety of instructional strategies that address individual needs, abilities, and maturity levels
• Provide work assignments to and work collaboratively with instructional assistant
• Evaluates, provides, and maintains accurate reports and records of individual student progress on a regular basis; this includes attendance records
• Reports any student injury or illness or injury to self on school grounds to the head teacher or board member
• Enforces and follows the school and district approved discipline plan
• Is responsible for the supervision of students at all times on school grounds
• Follows school regulations regarding emergency procedures
• Reports to work daily at the times assigned and remains on duty through the time prescribed
• Submits and justifies purchasing recommendations to support and enhance the instructional program to the head teacher or designee

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Valid Arizona Teacher certificate
• Experience as a teacher
• Criminal justice/Fingerprint clearance
• A passion for helping students succeed

This is a Part Time/Temporary position:

• Five to ten days of planning and coordinating instruction with Head Teacher and instructional assistant
• Two to four half days per week for 8 to 10 weeks through summer months

Salary Range: $25 hourly
