BOARD MEETING MINUTES

Wednesday August 12, 2026, at 4:00 P.M.

Meeting called to order by Christina Nisbet, Seconded by Wayne Adair.
B. Adoption of Agenda
Motion to approve agenda by Wayne Adair, Seconded by Christina Nisbet.

Motion to approve Meeting Minutes for July 8, 2026 by Christina Nisbet, Seconded by Wayne Adair.

F. Limited Call to the Public (President) –

• The public is invited to speak about any agenda item.
• There is a limit of three (3) minutes per speaker and 20 minutes total.
• Request to speak must be in writing and provided to the School Secretary at the beginning of the meeting or prior to any agenda item.
• The President has absolute discretion over procedural matters.
• The Board may waive their “Public Participation Policy” as it applies to all speakers.
• Members of the public may indicate their support or opposition to a topic, in writing, that will be noted and entered into the record.

• The Board may not respond to comments from the public, but may ask the facilitator to respond or place the item on a future agenda.

1. Consent Agenda items:

A. Ratification of Payroll Voucher: 1, 2 & 3 – Approved by Christina Nisbet, Seconded by Wayne Adair.

B. Ratification of Expense Vouchers: 9126, 9303, 2700 & 2701 – Approved by Christina Nisbet, Seconded by Wayne Adair.

C. FY26/27 Staff Annual Blanket Purchase Order Forms. Discussion/Action – Discussed all purchases should be routed through one primary purchasing agent. Motion to approve one purchasing agent by Christina Nisbet, Seconded by Wayne Adair.

D. Storage options on campus. Purchase of a school shed Discussion/Action – Discussion regarding price quotes, pad location & vendors if needed. Wayne Adair motioned to approve, Seconded by Christina Nisbet.

E. Maintenance and janitorial needs. Discussion/Action – Discussed upkeep on the exterior of the school to be done by maintenance staff, and interior deep cleaning to be done by custodial staff. Motion to approve extra hours if needed by staff to complete tasks by Christina Nisbet, Seconded by Wayne Adair.

F. Tax Credit brochure for school website and mailers. Discussion/Action – Discussed flyer layout and obtaining a QR code for donations. Motioned to move forward with creating a flyer by Christina Nisbet, Seconded by Wayne Adair.

2. Specific items of District business:

A. ASU Prep Update. Discussion/Action – Discussion only. Students started classes this week. Everything ran smoothly getting the students classes setup and teacher/student communications.

B. Cognia Accreditation Update. Discussion/Action – Discussion Only. Board President and Head Teacher met with the Cognia evaluator. They are working on gathering and preparing all the required documentation and submission information.
