SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
June 7, 2023
Board President, Cathy Beck called the meeting to order at 11:00 A.M. Board Member, Margaret Henningsen was present. Board Member, Jana Hare was absent. Also in attendance was Administrative Assistant, Sue Hite.

The purpose of the Special Meeting was to discuss the FY 2023/24 budget.
The board held a conference call with Chief Deputy, Renee Raskin from the Yavapai County Education Service Agency.
Renee answered many questions regarding the budget. It was understood by the board that due to escalating costs to operate the district, they may face financial decisions in the future on escalating operating costs. This year the rising cost remains within the budget limit. Renee did inform the board that Crown King still has one of the lowest tax rates of any school district in Yavapai County.
The next Regular Board Meeting will be held on June 14, 2023.
