REGULAR MEETING MINUTES
March 12, 2025
Board President Christine Nisbet called the meeting to order at 4:08 P.M.
Board President, Christina Nisbet and Board Members, Charles Adair and Jana Hare were present. Also in attendance were Head Teacher, Shannon Olson and Administrative Assistants, Sue Hite, Carolyn Beall.
Pledge of Allegiance
Minutes: Christina made a motion to approve February 19, 2025 meeting minutes, Jana seconded.
Financial: Wayne made a motion to approve the ratification of Voucher #9118 and Jana seconded.
Maintenance: Teacherage repairs, School Safety Improvements, School repairs
Danny has extended the teacherage grey water line.
Head Teacher Report
Old Business
New Business:
- ASBA Policy Advisories No. 809-818 – adopted.
- ASBAIT Insurance will be renewed for 2025/2026 Plan Wayne Moved to accept current plan, Christina seconded
- Open Enrollment. Wayne made a motion that the district will not have any excess capacity for nonresident students for the 2025/2026 school year, Christina seconded.
- 2025/2026 School Calendar – Christina moved to approve calendar, Wayne Seconded
The Board adjourned to Executive Session at 4:59 P.M. to discuss Head Teacher Contract and Housing.
The board readjourned to Open Session at 4:27 P.M.
- Christine made a motion to send a letter of intent to offer applicant Kristine Spann the Head Teacher 2025/2026 position. Wayne seconded
- Board agreed to hold a Special Meeting on March 20, 2025 at 5:00 P.M. to finalize the details of the contract to be presented
